Wang Nan was born in 1970 and comes from Hengshui City in Hebei Province. He was educated in vocational school of Hengshui City and then developed his inside painting skill under Mr.Wang Chunguang's guidance He was awarded the folk artist of HeBei province [about inner painted] by the Light Industrial Hall of HeBei province, the Unity of Literature and Art of HeBei 1998. The characters that he paints are elegantly simple and unsophisticated.

His many character stories come from The Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Shui Hu and Feng Sheng Bang.
